Who Are We

Kaleidoscope Child Care at St Andrews C of E Primary School is a private, independent child care facility  in the market town of Shifnal in Shropshire. The company was first established in 1993 and operates from purpose built buildings with large, light airy rooms fully equipped to meet the needs of the children that we care for.

The buildings are situated in large gardens offering fun and adventure in the great outdoors all year round. Children fully experience the changing seasons with majestic, mature trees located in the garden. The garden comes to life in spring when everything is green again. In the summertime natural shade ensures that children can play comfortably outside even on the warmest days. Autumn is delightful with so many beautifully coloured leaves to find and winters snow brings squeals of excitement. Our vegetable garden with large polycarbonate greenhouse is a favourite place for outdoor learning, where children delight in harvesting their first potatoes or tasting the sweetness of homegrown peas. Under the trees the children can go bug hunting or watch the birds in our nature area.

What Do We Offer

We offer OUTSTANDING care and education!

Kaleidoscope offers parents reassurance, quality care, courtesy and reliability. Kaleidoscope has been run by the same family for over 20 years and we ensure that every child is treated with the care and attention that we would expect for our own children.

All children are treated with respect for their individuality, tailoring the care given to meet each individual child’s needs.

Kaleidoscope Child Care Ltd is registered for children from 0 -11 years. We offer full time and part time places for children aged 2- 5 years old and wrap around care for school aged children and holidy clubs at our St Andrews site.

We offer full and part time care for 0-5 year olds at our other Shifnal setting, The Old Bank Nursery.

At both of our nurseries we offer 15 hours per week free during term time for every child from the term after their 3rd Birthday until they reach compulsory school age. We are also registered to deliver 24U funded places for eligible 2 year olds and 30 hours funding for eligible families.

We aim to provide the very best care and education for each child.

Each child has a Key Person, a member of staff who will get to know you and your child well, ensuring that we work in partnership with you to give your child the best start in life.

We believe that children flourish when they are happy and feel secure. Our experienced team work together to create an environment that is welcoming, where the children are offered a range of experiences in line with the Early years Foundation Stage Curriculum that will inspire, delight, amuse, challenge, excite, calm and reassure. The experiences allow the children to learn alongside adults who value these precious years and their potential to shape the years to come. Friendships are made with other children who will accompany them on their learning journey.

It's quite simple - only the best will do.

I have seen all your hardwork and effort and it is undeniable that it really comes from the heart. For a parent like me, whose English is my second language, I thank you for your patience. I wish all of you the best life can hold.”

“Thanks so much for embracing our very active (child). She has loved every minute and will miss seeing you all.”
