Health and Safety

Comprehensive health and safety procedures are in place along with risk assessments to provide a safe environment for children. Staff complete checks at the start and end of every day to ensure that the playrooms and all areas are suitable for children's use. We use external companies to manage all our fire safety appliances. Health and Hygiene

The settings have detailed health and hygiene procedures in place. Robust cleaning procedures and toy sterilisation with Milton are in place along with steam cleaning to ensure a hygienic play environment. All babies and toddlers have their own bedding. We ask parents to keep sick children at home to help them recover more quickly and to prevent transmission to their friends. Download the full health and hygiene policy for further information

Safeguarding

We work with families to ensure that children are safe and protected from harm. Staff monitor children to ensure that they are safe and well. We help families who are in need of extra support access services to help them through difficult times. At Kaleidoscope Child Care we work with other agencies where needed to support all children and help them develop and flourish. We aim to build strong partnerships with all families so that parents and carers feel confident to speak with us if they are in need of help 

Security

We have secure door entry system’s and CCTV in place at all settings to keep children safe 

Safe Collection

At registration parents nominate who can collect their child and staff will not allow the child to leave with any other persons

Emergency Procedures

We have policies in place to deal with any emergencies. First aid emergencies are dealt with by our trained paediatric first aiders in the first instance. Fire drills and lock down procedures are practiced frequently so that all staff and children know what to do if they hear an alarm
