Learning Through Play

Learning Through Play

At Kaleidoscope Child Care we ensure that all children who attend learn through play, whether they are 11 months old or 11 years old

Family Partnership

We work with families to ensure that children are happy and able to develop the skills that they will require for school and their future self. Staff complete development summaries for parents during the academic year to show progress and to highlight which areas they feel the child is ready to develop. Each summary has an area for parents to complete if they want to feedback to staff. Working together to help children grow ensures that children receive the best start to their early education

Dedicated and Knowledgeable Staff

Our dedicated team offer exciting age-appropriate activities to engage children in learning, exploring and working with each other, delivered in a fun, happy, safe and caring environment. Staff use their knowledge to observe children and identify their next steps in their learning journey. "They skilfully weave what children need to learn" - Ofsted inspection report

Early Years Foundation Stage

We deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Curriculum with a focus on learning through play to develop friendships, social skills and to prepare children for primary school. For details about the EYFS and how we deliver this curriculum at Kaleidoscope please download this document

Outdoor Learning

We believe that being outdoors is extremely important to ensure that children are happy, healthy and developing an important awareness of the world around them. We ask parents to provide clothing for all weathers as rain does not stop play at Kaleidoscope! Skilled staff provide lots of wonderful play and learning activities outdoors that cover all areas of development

SEND and Local Offer

For children who require extra support in any area of their development, our team are here to support their play and learning. Knowledgeable staff will help parents access additional support or specific provision or services to help their child access early years care and learning. We support the local offer. Details here.
